Following the controversy surrounding President Trump's supreme court pick Brett Kavanaugh over the past few weeks with three women coming forward to claim that the judge sexually assaulted them in the 1980's, it quickly developed into a extremely hyper-partisan issue with those on the left choosing to support the women's claims and those on the right dismissing the allegations as politically motivated. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has her critics, me included, due to her perceived ineptitude in leading the Democratic Party to electoral success and often receiving criticism for claiming that any negative attention she gets is somehow misogynist and sexist - sometimes it is - but it has become her go to excuse to avoid any real discussion about the future of the Democratic Party.
