Conservatives Really Think The FBI Will Be Arresting Ilhan Omar Soon

Following on from an older article we wrote about the frankly laughable lies conservatives like to spread about Ilhan Omar, they seem to have truly outdone themselves now.  Previously, Omar's detractors created easily falsifiable claims about her, claims that could be disproven from a ten second google search and a cursory read, but nevertheless they persist.  This time around, the very same people believe that the FBI are going to literally arrest Omar. The reasoning behind this is that Omar supposedly married her brother, which has of course been repeated by every right-wing 'news' outlet and even President Trump himself repeated the claim at a campaign rally. Of course something as simple as a birth certificate proves this isn't even remotely true. This didn't stop Chuck Woolery and his idiotic following tweeting out an article claiming that Omar had been 'nabbed by the FBI' and simply lapping it up without even questioning how ridiculous they sound.  FB...

Does Donald Trump Think He's Winning?

A little while back we wrote about Joe Biden's gradual decline in the polls against current President Donald Trump, ranging back from before the Democratic Primary even took place, during the primary, and now that Biden has become the Democratic nominee. Biden enjoyed leads of eighteen points in a large number of polling matchups leading up to the Democratic Primary, and his polling advantage began to slowly erode as the primary went on, with Trump slightly ahead in some polls. Losses in the Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada contests cut into Biden's lead against Trump, as did his constant gaffes on the debate stage and in interviews, as well as the fact that he is still dealing with sexual assault allegations from Tara Reade, which haven't been concluded or even reported on in months. However, following Trump's abysmal handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and the police killing of George Floyd and many other black Americans since then, the subsequent protests and further pol...

Nancy Pelosi Has A Lower Approval Rating Than Donald Trump

With all the noise made about Nancy Pelosi being a resistance hero who is supposedly out maneuvering Donald Trump at every turn, it turns out that the Democratic Party leader isn't actually that well liked by Americans. The "Patron Saint of Shade", a nickname given to Pelosi by her most devoted followers, has an extremely loyal following within the Democratic Party, so much so that people like Markos Moulitsas of the Daily Kos embarrassingly hand delivered a thousand red roses to Nancy Pelosi's office. However, for all the sycophantic devotion to Pelosi that keeps her in power, Americans as a whole are extremely unsatisfied with Nancy Pelosi and her performance when it comes to opposing President Trump. According to the RCP Polling Averages, current President Donald Trump's approval rating currently sits at an average of 44.3% and an average disapproval rating of 50.6%, a minus 6.3% approval rating overall. With Pelosi, the numbers are even worse . Pelo...

Why Bernie Sanders Lost

Unless someone is able to invent a way to travel back in time, preferably to around the time of the Nevada Caucus, we will unfortunately never experience a Bernie Sanders presidency. A variety of reasons were offered for Sanders' surprising exit from the 2020 Democratic Primary, including the ridiculous claims that his campaign staff, particularly Briahna Joy Gray and David Sirota, were primarily responsible or the laughable assertion that Sanders didn't portray himself as "patriotic" enough, supposedly Sanders not wearing an American flag pin is one of the main reasons for his defeat. However, there are more rational reasons for Sanders defeat. The most prevalent reason offered was Sanders reluctance to get dirty and push back, much like his previously mentioned campaign staff did. Throughout the primary Sanders annoyed his supporters as he would constantly refer to Joe Biden as "my good friend, Joe" after arguing that Joe Biden's policies wer...

Elizabeth Warren Changes Her Tune On Super PAC Spending

One way Elizabeth Warren was able to prove her progressive bonafides was swearing off of large donations and any super PAC spending on her campaign, allowing her to compete for progressive voters alongside Bernie Sanders. However, after disappointing finishes in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada Warren now has the largest super PAC in the Democratic Primary race with $14 million in advertisement spending on upcoming primary states. This represents a sharp 360 degree turn from earlier in the race, as Warren was vying for Sanders' base of support. She claimed to be just the same as Sanders, she swore off large donations, was supportive of Medicare for All and was seen as a hero in the fight against corruption in American politics. However, after Warren's steep decline in the polls she has become desperate. Warren's excuse for the change is the much-heard excuse: "If everyone else is doing it then why shouldn't I?" Warren has also chosen to use identity politi...

Donald Trump Admits He's Afraid Of Bernie Sanders

A recent ninety minute recording of a meeting President Donald Trump had with Lev Parnas - an American businessman who is currently under fire regarding the Trump-Ukraine situation for allegedly surveilling and making threats against the US Ambassador to Ukraine - has been leaked and one of the topics they discussed was the 2016 election and Bernie Sanders. During the conversation, which was recorded in 2018, there was a segment regarding the 2016 election and Hillary Clinton's VP pick, which we now know was Tim Kaine. The recording starts off by one of Trump's guests stating: " They rigged it, Bernie would have beaten Hillary " to which another guest agreed because their wasn't the same level of public repudiation towards Bernie Sanders as there is towards Clinton. More can be heard, as another guest saying that " millenials were right there for Bernie ". Now in jumps Donald Trump to state that: " If Bernie would have been Vice President...

Pete Buttigieg’s Healthcare Plan Is Laughably Terrible

Healthcare has been listed in several polls as the key issue heading into the 2020 Democratic Primary and subsequent general election against sitting President, Donald Trump. The ten remaining Democratic candidates all have differing policy ideals when it comes to healthcare, ranging from Sanders 'Medicare for All', Joe Biden favouring "building on Obamacare" - whatever that actually means is anybody's guess - or Pete Buttigieg's 'Medicare for all who want it', which is effectively a fancy, means-tested way of saying that he's in favour of a public option. Buttigieg's whole facade is that he's the young and intelligent moderate, a young Joe Biden, supposedly. His supporters love to scream about the fact that he would be the first gay president or that his wonkish and convoluted views on policy are exactly what's needed in order to break congressional deadlock, especially on healthcare policy. His plan - 'Medicare for all who ...

Former Obama And Tory Party Adviser Thinks Bernie Sanders Can't Win In 2020

Jim Messina, a former President Obama and UK Conservative Party adviser has recently come out against Bernie Sanders and claimed that the Vermont Senator would not be able to win a general election against sitting President Donald Trump and further mentioned that Democrats would "struggle" if Sanders was the nominee. So, who exactly is Jim Messina and why should we trust his opinion? Messina was hired as Obama's national chief of staff in 2008 and was key in his election victory that year as he controlled a $750M budget and also worked for Obama's 2012 campaign but subsequently left in 2011 and begun giving paid corporate seminars and speeches to companies such as Apple, Facebook, Zynga, Google, Microsoft and DreamWorks. Furthermore, in August 2013, Messina signed on as a paid consultant to the UK Conservative Party to work for both David Cameron's and Theresa May's campaigns in 2013 and 2017 respectively. Seemingly, Messina's advice didn't seem ...

How Sean Hannity Thought The Iraq War Would Turn Out

Sean Hannity, to put it kindly, has never met a war he hasn't liked. Following the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, Hannity, true to form, has suggested that President Trump should attack Iranian oil refineries in order to " cause major poverty for the people of Iran " The Fox News host isn't shy when it comes to using military force against anyone or anything, a firm believer in American Exceptionalism which is prevalent on the American right. Hannity claimed that the strike on Iranian General Soleimani was a "massive win for the US military and President Trump." However, Hannity isn't the the best source to go to when asking how an impending war will turn out, as his reasoning for the 2003 US invasion of Iraq has come to light once again and has proven how you cannot trust a single word he says. Hannity, true to form, was completely wrong regarding the Iraq invasion back in 2003, claiming the the United States would find the m...

MSNBC Contributor Jason Johnson Consistently Wrong About 2020 Election

Jason Johnson, who contributes to MSNBC and The Root, has spent the majority of the 2020 election cycle going to war with Bernie Sanders supporters on Twitter. Johnson is repeatedly negative towards Sanders and his presidential aspirations, garnering obvious pushback from Sanders' supporters. Following this, David Doel, host of progressive Youtube show The Rational National, recently produced a video of Johnson's comments about Sanders in early 2019 and the beginning of 2020. The video begins with Johnson's remarks about Sanders while on Morning Joe on the 2nd of January 2020, in which Johnson stated that he believed that Sanders supporters were not supporting him for policy reasons, just that his supporters saw him as some kind of Democratic saviour, also claiming that his supporters couldn't be convinced with policy arguments as all of Sanders' supporters are just "Bernie or bust type people". Now, I could tell you from personal experience that t...

The Future Looks Very Bright For The Labour Party

Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party experienced their worst result since the 1935 general election, losing 60 seats. The majority of the losses coming in England from areas with over 50% of voters wishing to leave the European Union as well as a few seats in Scotland as the Scottish National Party delivered a message to the UK that they were seeking another independence referendum and wish to remain in the European Union. Despite this, the future looks extremely bright for the Labour Party and progressive politics in general. Election Maps UK, a group responsible for election forecasts and results have recently produced maps of the UK based on how each age group voted in the 2019 General Election and how the results would have look if only these age groups were the ones voting two weeks ago. The election maps produced show how dominant the Labour Party are among younger voters. The map in the top left shows us how the 2019 election would have turned out had only 18-24 year olds vo...

Why The Labour Party Lost The UK Election

Whichever way you approach the recent UK election, it would be fair to say that the Labour Party experienced a drubbing, resulting in a loss of 60 seats and handing the Conservative Party a large parliamentary majority. There has however been a fierce debate surrounding the reasons for Labour’s defeat, reasons ranging from Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn himself or supposedly racist voters. This debate has deeply spilt the two main factions of the Labour Party, between moderates and progressives. Blairites vs Corbynistas if you will. Moderates place the blame solely at the feet of Jeremy Corbyn, his supposed anti-semitism and poor electability. Progressives see this defeat as a result of a Brexit backlash with many Leave voters leaving the Labour Party while the Conservative Party had one core message: “Get Brexit Done” which seemingly resonated. It is fair to suggest that Corbyn’s popularity isn’t exactly soaring, with the mere mention of his name bringing about a whole range of different...

There Are More Food Banks Than McDonald’s In The UK

This week the British public will head to the polls for the third general election in four years amid plenty of Brexit uncertainty. The Conservative Party are leading in the polls while Labour are hoping that changing who traditionally comes out to vote will lead them to victory.  There have been many scandalous moments that should have sunk the Conservative Party, such as rebranding their Twitter account into a fake fact checker during an election debate, editing an interview with Shadow Brexit Secretary, Keir Starmer, in a bid to mislead voters on his answers and their promise to recruit 50,000 NHS nurses, when it was revealed that nearly 19,000 of those won’t be new nurses, they will be retrained from other areas of the NHS instead. Tories have been the party in charge since 2010 and further evidence detailing the extreme levels of poverty in Tory Britain has come to light, and it is devastating. There are now more food banks than McDonald’s restaurants in the UK . Cu...

Bernie Sanders Gains Most Coveted Presidential Endorsement While In Hospital

Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib endorse Bernie Sanders for President. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are three quarters of a group of relatively new and incredibly popular Congresswomen known as "The Squad", and they dominated the news cycles during Tuesday's Democratic Primary debate when it was announced that they would all be endorsing Bernie Sanders' 2020 Presidential bid. Ayanna Pressley, the fourth member of "The Squad" has said that  she is not endorsing any Democratic candidate  just yet. The news broke when CNN anchor Erin Burnett asked Sanders a question about his recent health issues - this was after the debate moderators hadn't called on Sanders for an answer to several questions, such as gun control and the opioid crisis - to which Sanders responded "I'm healthy, I'm feeling great, but I would like to respond to that question." He then proceeded to give ...

Beto O’Rourke Thinks Swearing Will Win Him The Presidency

Many people have been questioning why Beto O'Rourke chose to run for President after narrowly losing a Texas Senate race to Ted Cruz, with his popularity within Texas seemingly not being able to translate nationwide. It's been argued from some in the progressive wing of the Democratic Party that O'Rourke's popularity within Texas was due to him running against Ted Cruz from the left - refusing to take PAC money, supporting Medicare for All and publicly supporting Colin Kaepernick taking a knee. It was also suggested that the enthusiasm for O'Rourke was merely because of Ted Cruz's low approval rating , with only 27% strongly supporting and 31% strongly disapproving of Cruz.  Morning Consult's Senator popularity rankings gave Ted Cruz a 36% disapproval rating. O'Rourke's popularity was clearly evident during his Senate run, breaking the record for the most amount of money raised in a single quarter by a US Senate candidate with $38.1m raised in...

Just How Islamophobic Is The UK Conservative Party?

Sayeeda Warsi, former Chair of the Conservative Party Should you switch on any mainstream news program or read any mainstream news articles you would be mistaken for thinking that the Labour Party was a cesspool of anti-semitism and racism, with figures such as Alan Sugar ridiculously comparing Jeremy Corbyn to former German leader, Adolf Hitler.  While any leftist criticism  of Israel and its policy regarding Palestine is spun and twisted to suggest that anytime you speak up for Palestinian rights or a two-state solution is anti-semitic, those who throw around accusations of anti-semitism and racism clearly have issues regarding racism and in this instance, Islamophobia in the UK Conservative Party. There are genuine instances of anti-semitism surrounding the Left, with George Galloway's  "no Israel flags"  tweet during last year's Champions League Final coming to mind - this is was deemed a hateful statement by losing finalists Tottenham Hotspur FC, a cl...

John Delaney's Plan To Stop Mass Shootings: Make Mass Shootings 'Cost Prohibitive'

John Delaney and his ability to be shamelessly and wholeheartedly beholden to private insurance companies have found something new to exploit: the two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, both of which happened at the beginning of August just hours apart and left 32 people dead. Delaney was given ample time during the past two Democratic primary debates to lay out his proposals, in which he was laughably seen as the rational moderate, when in reality he was just arguing for the status quo. Apart from arguing against any real or meaningful change, Delaney's most memorable debate moment was when Bernie Sanders rebutted his ridiculous anti-Medicare For All statements with “Well, you’re wrong!” Which drew a large cheer from the crowd. Delaney’s big new idea to end gun violence, which you can see pictured above, is to require “liability insurance” to purchase a gun - an idea which is comical and was mocked in the replies to his tweet. To be fair to John Delaney and...

Bernie Answers CBS News Pro-War Question Brilliantly

After President Trump and his administration's provocation of Iran led to the shooting down of an unmanned drone near Iran's airspace, several politicians have shown us where they stand on this administration's efforts to force a regime change war in Iran and remove the Ayatollah's from power. There were obviously a vast spectrum of opinions, from war hawks who pretend the drone was merely minding its own business by flying in and around Iran's airspace, do-nothing Democrats whose only problem with Trump attacking Iran being that he must abide by the rules and ask Congress nicely first, to anti-war politicians such as Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren ridiculing Trump's obvious attempts at goading Iran, which he will then use as reason for the American military to invade Iran and take out the Ayatollah's. Elizabeth Warren was recently asked by an attendee during a Florida town hall at Florida International University if she would go to war with Iran ...

Pregnant Alabama Woman Charged With Manslaughter After Being Shot

Marshae Jones, alleged to have "sparked the altercation" which led to the shooting, has been charged with manslaughter while the shooter has been freed. When women took to the streets in order to protest new draconian abortion laws proposed by several US states, notable conservative pundits insisted that the new laws weren't as bad as many women had feared and that they were just doing their moral duty to protect unborn children, but it’s doubtful Marshae Jones feels the same way. Jones was five months pregnant when she was shot in the stomach during an altercation with another woman and her fetus never survived the shooting. On Wednesday this week (26/06), Ms. Jones was charged with manslaughter in Jefferson County, Alabama after the police claimed that Jones was culpable because she initiated the conflict and " failed to remove herself out of harms way ." " The only true victim in this was the unborn baby. It was the mother of the child who init...

Sally Albright: I'd Prefer 4 More Years Of Trump Than President Bernie Sanders

One of the main talking points used against Bernie Sanders and his supporters is that their lack of enthusiasm and support for Hillary Clinton in 2016 directly led to Donald Trump becoming president, with Sanders supporters being labelled as privileged and sexist for not backing Clinton, and yes that includes you misogynistic Jill Stein/Green Party voters! However, our favourite anti-Bernie Democratic loyalist, Sally Albright, now insists that it isn’t pivotal that you support the Democratic nominee in order to defeat Donald Trump, should Sanders win the 2020 Democratic nomination. Albright recently claimed that “ 4 more years of Trump would be better in the long run ” as opposed to a President Bernie Sanders. This comes after the “moderate” wing of the Democratic Party have spent the past three years suggesting that apathetic Sanders supporters are the cause of every terrible Trump decision and we’d be in a utopia if us sexists would have just fell in line behind Clinton. In ...
