Ilhan Omar’s mere presence as the first Somali-American and one of the first Muslim Congresswomen - along with Rashida Tlaib -  does tend to ruffle a few feathers among the more bigoted politicians and news pundits, much like those who insisted that former President Barack Obama wasn’t American and was actually a Muslim who was born in Kenya. Just as former President Barack Obama had ridiculous and debunked conspiracy theories surrounding him - so does Ilhan Omar. Omar’s journey to Congress was extremely reminiscent of that “American Dream” you hear so much about. Marshae Jones, alleged to have "sparked the altercation" which led to the shooting, has been charged with manslaughter while the shooter has been freed. When women took to the streets in order to protest new draconian abortion laws proposed by several US states, notable conservative pundits insisted that the new laws weren't as bad as many women had feared and that they were just doing their moral duty to protect unborn children, but it’s doubtful Marshae Jones feels the same way. Jones was five months pregnant when she was shot in the stomach during an altercation with another woman and her fetus never survived the shooting. I personally think it would be fair to say that even many people on the Right don’t take Peter Sweden seriously, and essentially every leftist I know uses Peter and his tweets for comedic purposes. Admittedly this is relatively time-worn news, but because Conservative MP for Bromsgrove, Sajid Javid, has thrown his hat into the ring to become the leader of the Conservative Party since Theresa May’s recent resignation, it needs to be repeated. Javid has hilariously been compared to former American President, Barack Obama, by Forbes magazine, and like basically any Tory Member of Parliament, he has been embroiled in controversy throughout his career. Javid has previously made absurd statements such as labelling progressive, Corbyn-supporting, activist group, Momentum, as ‘neo-fascist’ and had to backtrack on a tweet he posted claiming that Jeremy Corbyn is linked with Holocaust denial. Rick Joyner is just another conservative fundamentalist christian among a plethora of like-minded televangelists who have made ridiculous statements about President Trump's time in office. Joyner has a history of simply being wrong, roughly two years ago he claimed to have done some math and has worked out that since earth is '6,000' years old, this coincides with the first six days of the week, which means God is coming back on the seventh day or the sabbath. Essentially claiming that God was returning soon. However, Mr. Joyner may have outdone himself in this particular instance as he claims that abortion and sin are to blame for Hurricane Florence, not climate change. Hurricane Florence was a Category 4 major hurricane with winds reaching 130 miles per hour and lasted two weeks, from the end of August to the middle of September. Jack Posobiec's, who's married, profile on dating site Bumble. Jack Posobiec is a conservative film director, aspiring writer, constant reader and all round idiot who is never far from controversy. A quick trip over to Jack's Wikipedia page allows us to see all of his ridiculous claims and stunts such as the 'Pizzagate' conspiracy theory, falsely claiming that Bernie Sanders had told supporters to commit violence following the Steve Scalise shooting and has repeatedly made references to the White Genocide conspiracy theory. The best way to describe evangelical TV host Rick Wiles is that he's simply insane and has made wild claims about anyone and everyone that he does not agree with politically. With days to go until the September 13th Democratic Gubernatorial Primary between Andrew Cuomo and Cynthia Nixon, the Cuomo campaign has been accused of dirty, tacky politics. A recent campaign mailer was sent out to voters which smeared Nixon as being "silent on the rise of anti-Semitism". The mailer attempted to smear Nixon by suggesting that she supports Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS), a global campaign aiming to boycott Israel until they are complying with international law. One small problem here is that Cynthia Nixon doesn't support Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. Another way in which this ridiculous campaign mailer lied about Nixon is that it suggests that she opposes government funding of yeshivas, which are private religious schools mainly attended by New York's orthodox Jewish population. Hillary Clinton's most ardent supporters really are incredible, any political objection to Hillary is a result your deeply held misogyny, she was apparently "entitled" to each and every vote from those who described themselves as anything else but a Trump supporter, any legitimate criticism of her or her politics is the result of "Russian disinformation campaigns" and now Hillary is apparently of the same moral standing as notable religious figures. A rather amusing Twitter account by the name of "The DM Reporter" which details the bigoted ramblings within both the Daily Mail newspaper and their comments section, allowed the racist nature of people who read the Mail to be laid bare. The Mail decided to discuss Nazi-era propaganda pictures attempting to show Adolf Hitler's apparent tender-hearted personality. Now, to be fair to the Daily Mail on this one particular instance, it wasn't the article which attempted to sympathise with Hitler and how he was portrayed, but their readers. The Daily Mail comments section isn't the most reasoned place as it is, but when you throw in one of history's worst villans, you should expect widespread condemnation, no matter your political leanings, Mail readers decided to insinuate that there was a media smear operation against Hitler, and he actually wasn't all that bad. National Public Radio reporter Tim Mak recently discovered one of what is two dating websites solely aimed at Donald Trump supporters, with a catch - NO gays allowed. Should you decide to "find your Pro-Trump match today", you must have no attraction for the same sex whatsoever, I guess the Pro-Trump twitter users "@SassyGayRepublican" or  "@ConservGayGuy"  will be out of luck while trying to find their politically like-minded partners, the sheer irony. A simple search of The Sun's  Wikipedia page shows us that the Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper has been a part of more misdemeanours than I've had hot dinners, with a majority of the Wikipedia sub sections dedicated to their most prominent scandals. The Sun's most prominent scandal has to be their coverage of the Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 people lost their lives as a result of overcrowding in the stadium which led to a human stampede as fans tried to exit. Televangelist Pat Robertson recently took a break from blaming natural disasters on gay people to attempt to comfort a Christian mother who wrote into Robertson's show, The 700 Club, to ask why God allowed her fifteen year old son to pass away in January 2017 and Pat decided to answer this question in his usual, horrific style. The mother, Cristina, wrote in to Robertson on the 700 club in order to get some answers as to why God would take her son away when they have been nothing faithful to "their Lord". Her question was this, " My fifteen year old son was killed January 26th, 2017. My question for you is: why does our Father allow us to go through this pain and torment? Jared Huffman is a politician currently serving California's 2nd district in the House of Representatives since 2013 and was previously in the California State Assembly from 2006-2012 as well as being a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus within the Democratic Party.
