Healthcare has been listed in several polls as the key issue heading into the 2020 Democratic Primary and subsequent general election against sitting President, Donald Trump. The ten remaining Democratic candidates all have differing policy ideals when it comes to healthcare, ranging from Sanders 'Medicare for All', Joe Biden favouring "building on Obamacare" - whatever that actually means is anybody's guess - or Pete Buttigieg's 'Medicare for all who want it', which is effectively a fancy, means-tested way of saying that he's in favour of a public option. Buttigieg's whole facade is that he's the young and intelligent moderate, a young Joe Biden, supposedly. His supporters love to scream about the fact that he would be the first gay president or that his wonkish and convoluted views on policy are exactly what's needed in order to break congressional deadlock, especially on healthcare policy. Jason Johnson, who contributes to MSNBC and The Root, has spent the majority of the 2020 election cycle going to war with Bernie Sanders supporters on Twitter. Johnson is repeatedly negative towards Sanders and his presidential aspirations, garnering obvious pushback from Sanders' supporters. Following this, David Doel, host of progressive Youtube show The Rational National, recently produced a video of Johnson's comments about Sanders in early 2019 and the beginning of 2020. The video begins with Johnson's remarks about Sanders while on Morning Joe on the 2nd of January 2020, in which Johnson stated that he believed that Sanders supporters were not supporting him for policy reasons, just that his supporters saw him as some kind of Democratic saviour, also claiming that his supporters couldn't be convinced with policy arguments as all of Sanders' supporters are just "Bernie or bust type people". During the third Democratic Presidential debate back in September, candidate Beto O'Rourke gave the Republicans a major gift when on the debate stage he exclaimed, "Hell yes we're going to take your AR-15's, your AK-47's". O'Rourke has also proposed a mandatory gun buyback program with the aim of getting rid of assault style weapons. Republicans were then able to use these comments to fabricate a story of the evil tyrannical government coming to take your guns away You could be fair to O'Rourke and say that he hadn't necessarily thought of the constitutional ramifications of such a policy, got caught up in the debate frenzy and wanted to use the issue of gun control to stand out from his opponents. During the November midterm elections Bernie Sanders' Vermont Senate seat was up for grabs and he had to fend off more challengers than usual this time around as two extremely anti-Bernie Hillary Clinton supporters wanted to put a "REAL Democrat" in the Senate but instead they failed miserably. The first of the candidates is Jon Svitavsky , an activist for the homeless population of Vermont. While this may make Jon a somewhat attractive candidate, further research shows some rather troubling statements from Svitavsky. The Democrat has labelled notable black politicians Ben Carson and Condoleeza Rice as "Oreo's" - meaning black on the outside and white on the inside. Perhaps more troubling is the fact that he states that Rice should be "hung from the neck until she dies". Following the controversy surrounding President Trump's supreme court pick Brett Kavanaugh over the past few weeks with three women coming forward to claim that the judge sexually assaulted them in the 1980's, it quickly developed into a extremely hyper-partisan issue with those on the left choosing to support the women's claims and those on the right dismissing the allegations as politically motivated. Now in steps a Republican Senate nominee from Mississippi, Chris McDaniel, who when interviewed by Bryan Fischer, a man who has claimed that the Holocaust was caused by homosexuals and that Hillary Clinton is a lesbian, on Fischer's Focal Point  radio show stated that " these allegations 99% of the time are just absolutely fabricated ", where McDaniel got that number from is truly anyone's guess. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has her critics, me included, due to her perceived ineptitude in leading the Democratic Party to electoral success and often receiving criticism for claiming that any negative attention she gets is somehow misogynist and sexist - sometimes it is - but it has become her go to excuse to avoid any real discussion about the future of the Democratic Party. One group decided to harass Pelosi at a campaign stop and laughably label her a communist, screaming "f**king communist" at her as she entered the building and took to banging on the door as security held them back. Remember, this is the exact same group of people who whine about the lack of civility in current political discourse. With days to go until the September 13th Democratic Gubernatorial Primary between Andrew Cuomo and Cynthia Nixon, the Cuomo campaign has been accused of dirty, tacky politics. A recent campaign mailer was sent out to voters which smeared Nixon as being "silent on the rise of anti-Semitism". The mailer attempted to smear Nixon by suggesting that she supports Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS), a global campaign aiming to boycott Israel until they are complying with international law. One small problem here is that Cynthia Nixon doesn't support Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. Another way in which this ridiculous campaign mailer lied about Nixon is that it suggests that she opposes government funding of yeshivas, which are private religious schools mainly attended by New York's orthodox Jewish population. Whether you believe Donald Trump managed to elevate himself into the Oval Office using Russian hacking efforts - which is actually the making of awful internet memes to 'sway' voters - and evading the eyes of the numerous American intelligence agencies and managed to remain in office for nearly half of his first term or not, why on earth would you vote to give an "illegitimate president" an increased military budget? Whenever Bernie Sanders is attacked on policy or either being supposedly racist and sexist, - still no explanation as to how - his supporters are by his side more often than not. However, two recent statements that Sanders made has drawn the ire of even his most loyal supporters. Firstly, with the subject of immigrant child separation and abolishing ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) dominating news headlines, even most centrist Democrats and Sanders supporters are united in their wishes to abolish ICE, but Sanders couldn't join the club when asked the question by Jake Tapper during a  CNN interview . When asked by Jake Tapper if he would join the calls of fellow Democrats such as Cynthia Nixon to abolish ICE, he tapped danced around the question, instead saying that Trump and Congress should work to make sure that what we see today with the separation of children and their parents is put to an end. Following the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez political rise ever since she joined  Justice Democrats  and actually knowing how hard she has fought to represent New York's 14th District despite going up against one of the most powerful Democrats in the country, Joe Crowley, who had campaign contributions from all of the large corporations you've ever heard of: Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Major League Baseball, Sony, Home Depot and State Farm are just some among hundreds of monumental corporate bodies, this was a victory which sent principled progressives into a whirlwind of positive emotions. Polls that were undertaken by polling organisation Gallup have produced some rather worrying signs for both major political parties in America and good news for smaller, lesser known parties. The polls, which were published in January 2018, show that the number of Americans who indentify as Independents has seen its largest ever increase a year out of a presidential election. As you can see pictured above, the number of Independents has been increasing sharply since Gallup's recording began pre-1989, and very rarely dipping below the numbers of Democrats or Republicans. Gallup also mentions how decreases in Independents is usually a result of people choosing to back the candidate with either a (D) or (R) next to their name as they vote for someone that resembles their ideas as closely as possible. Bernie Sanders often deals with objections to his presidential aspirations from all sides of the political spectrum, those on the Right who believe Sanders wants to turn America into some kind of Communist dictatorship, Centrist Democrats who label Bernie as racist, sexist and unable to win a general election, with people from the Left who suggest that he isn't progressive enough. However, one particular critique of Sanders is both extremely exaggerated and in some cases, a flat out lie. Self appointed Hillary Clinton and People of Colour defender Candice Aiston took a short break from likening Hillary Clinton to Jesus and claiming that Democrats were literally 'entitled' to the votes of minority groups in order to write a truly awful  article   suggesting that Bernie Sanders supporters essentially target aforementioned minority groups who do not share their politics and dig up old tweets which could be seen as controversial in order to "silence women and POC". We will now take great delight in explaining how Candice is being extremely disingenuous when discussing the interactions between Democrats and left-wing accounts on social media. Following the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on February 14th many of the young survivors have transformed into gun control advocates and formed an advocacy group called Never Again MSD , which began to gain traction on Twitter with the use of the hashtag # NeverAgain . Several prominent media personalities and politicians have praised the group of students on their activism, which has lead to the increasingly popular "the kids are alright", while many others admire their passion. The 'Never Again' facebook group created by the surviving students has amassed nearly 139,000 followers since the shooting, with celebrities such as George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey donating $500,000 each to the cause. As the kids fiercely fight to ensure that such shootings never take place again, several on the political right have began to mock the survivors without remorse, with criticisms ranging from "seventeen dead children doesn't affect my Second Amendment rights...

A conservative freedom-loving woman from Arizona made a rather laughable claim targeted at what she sees as droves and droves of illegal immigrants finding a weak spot in the US-Mexico Border at the Naco, Arizona entry point, as this is this the closest point from her stated location. There's just a few slight  problems with her theory. Here we have the US-Mexico Border which shuts the two countries off from each other, shown by the thin blue line. The blue icon with the letter "A" is the entry point at Naco and the icon with the letter "B" is Ramage's reported location of Sierra Vista. The problem here is that it would take roughly forty-two minutes, by car, to go between these two locations. Therefore, unless Leslie is driving to the border each day and watching handfuls of Mexican immigrants cross into America, she couldn't possibly see them, so she's basically a massive liar. National Public Radio reporter Tim Mak recently discovered one of what is two dating websites solely aimed at Donald Trump supporters, with a catch - NO gays allowed. Should you decide to "find your Pro-Trump match today", you must have no attraction for the same sex whatsoever, I guess the Pro-Trump twitter users "@SassyGayRepublican" or  "@ConservGayGuy"  will be out of luck while trying to find their politically like-minded partners, the sheer irony. Hilarious comments have been made about the Trump only dating site, with Jess Dweck calling the site "OkStupid", while Patrick Monahan used Donald Trump's campaign slogan to great effect with "Make Meeting On A Dating Site Something To Be Embarrassed About Again", or my own personal favourite, "KKK Date". Democrat Doug Jones recently emerged victorious in the tightly contested Alabama Senate race just a few short days ago, a race in which Roy Moore is still suggesting that a god-fearing man such himself couldn't have lost and is refusing to concede to Jones.
