Christian Pastor: Abortion And Gays Caused Hurricane Florence, Not Climate Change

Rick Joyner is just another conservative fundamentalist christian among a plethora of like-minded televangelists who have made ridiculous statements about President Trump's time in office. Joyner has a history of simply being wrong, roughly two years ago he claimed to have done some math and has worked out that since earth is '6,000' years old, this coincides with the first six days of the week, which means God is coming back on the seventh day or the sabbath. Essentially claiming that God was returning soon. However, Mr. Joyner may have outdone himself in this particular instance as he claims that abortion and sin are to blame for Hurricane Florence, not climate change. Hurricane Florence was a Category 4 major hurricane with winds reaching 130 miles per hour and lasted two weeks, from the end of August to the middle of September. The hurricane is reported to have caused 55 deaths in the United States, including a three-month-old baby dying due to a tree crushing a ...

Evangelical: "If Democrats Win November's Midterms They'll Burn Churches And Kill Thousands Of Christians"

The best way to describe evangelical TV host Rick Wiles is that he's simply insane and has made wild claims about anyone and everyone that he does not agree with politically. Wiles most ridiculous assertions include mobile game Pokemon Go being 'demonic spiritual warfare used to execute Christians'  and Madonna and Nicki Minaj are 'demon witches brainwashing our children' . Although Wiles is almost universally laughed at by people across the political spectrum, he hasn't stopped making baseless and ridiculous claims as he goes on an unhinged rant while presenting an episode of his 'TruNews TV' this week. While addressing his audience, Wiles stated that if Democrats win the upcoming midterm elections in November, they'll burn down churches and kill thousands of Christians . So, now that November's midterm elections have passed, the consensus in the media and among the public is that the Democrats are now in a much better position after takin...

Right-Wing Newspaper 'The Sun' Contradict Themselves In A Few Sentences

A simple search of The Sun's  Wikipedia page shows us that the Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper has been a part of more misdemeanours than I've had hot dinners, with a majority of the Wikipedia sub sections dedicated to their most prominent scandals. The Sun's most prominent scandal has to be their coverage of the Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 people lost their lives as a result of overcrowding in the stadium which led to a human stampede as fans tried to exit. In their infinite wisdom, The Sun decided to publish false allegations on their front page, titled "The Truth" and made misleading allegations, claiming that the Liverpool supporters picked the pocket of the stampede victims, attacked officers and also urinating on the officers, subsequent investigations into the disasters has revealed these allegations to be wholly unfounded and The Sun is now banned from Liverpool and Everton stadiums and training facilities. Now that you can see the type of smea...

Televangelist Pat Robertson: Maybe God Wanted Your Kid To Die

Televangelist Pat Robertson recently took a break from blaming natural disasters on gay people to attempt to comfort a Christian mother who wrote into Robertson's show, The 700 Club, to ask why God allowed her fifteen year old son to pass away in January 2017 and Pat decided to answer this question in his usual, horrific style. The mother, Cristina, wrote in to Robertson on the 700 club in order to get some answers as to why God would take her son away when they have been nothing faithful to "their Lord". Her question was this, " My fifteen year old son was killed January 26th, 2017. My question for you is: why does our Father allow us to go through this pain and torment? As a mom, I do everything in my power to protect my kids from this. What is the point? I am confused and angry. Please help me understand. I have been faithful to the Lord alone, so why?" We here at Progressive Political News want to send Cristina our best wishes and we hope that she is a...

Atheist Congressman Breaks Silence: "I Don't Believe In God"

Jared Huffman is a politician currently serving California's 2nd district in the House of Representatives since 2013 and was previously in the California State Assembly from 2006-2012 as well as being a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus within the Democratic Party. Huffman recently made headlines as he spoke out on his religious beliefs, or a lack thereof in this particular case. The Missouri-born lawmaker is one of only a handful to actively go against 70.6 percent of the American population who describe themselves as Christian, saying "I think that there is too much religion within politics". To some, this may not seem like an important statement for anyone to make, the reaction from people who are sane would sound something like this: "Jared is an atheist? Cool". On the other hand however, this can have serious ramifications for his electoral chances in the future as atheists are one of the groups who are looked down upon the most with the c...

Is Donald Trump chosen by God?

The short answer to this question is - hell no . These are two characters who could not be more different as one prefers to feed the poor while the other takes away Meals on Wheels from the elderly. Personally, I believe Donald would be closer to the Old Testament God as opposed to the New Testament God, as is evidenced by Trump wanting to kill the families of terrorists (innocents) and God killing people he deemed evil via a flood. God chose a man who wanted to do the VERY DEFINITION OF TERRORISM? God chose a man who wanted to kill innocent people? Blow me. Donald Trump and God, a comparison only the craziest right-wing political 'thinkers' can make, whether or not you believe in God the disparities are clear as day and to compare a man who mispronounced "Second Corinthians" as "Two Corinthians" to our supposed creator, is just laughable. Now if you are a religious person, you have the belief of God being responsible for all of mankind, thus be...
