In a bid to annoy as many people as possible Democratic leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are unable to even to honor the memory of George Floyd appropriately and don't seem even remotely interested in delivering any form of change to the system that led to Floyd's death. Both Schumer and Pelosi had trouble giving Floyd the decency of even remembering his name, something that surely isn't as hard as it seems considering his name has been all over international news for the past month.  How can we trust the Democratic leadership to prioritize and fight for Black folks, when Schumer and Pelosi can’t even remember George Floyd’s name. Following on from an older article we wrote about the frankly laughable lies conservatives like to spread about Ilhan Omar, they seem to have truly outdone themselves now.  Previously, Omar's detractors created easily falsifiable claims about her, claims that could be disproven from a ten second google search and a cursory read, but nevertheless they persist.  This time around, the very same people believe that the FBI are going to literally arrest Omar. The reasoning behind this is that Omar supposedly married her brother, which has of course been repeated by every right-wing 'news' outlet and even President Trump himself repeated the claim at a campaign rally. Of course something as simple as a birth certificate proves this isn't even remotely true. Ilhan Omar’s mere presence as the first Somali-American and one of the first Muslim Congresswomen - along with Rashida Tlaib -  does tend to ruffle a few feathers among the more bigoted politicians and news pundits, much like those who insisted that former President Barack Obama wasn’t American and was actually a Muslim who was born in Kenya. Just as former President Barack Obama had ridiculous and debunked conspiracy theories surrounding him - so does Ilhan Omar. Omar’s journey to Congress was extremely reminiscent of that “American Dream” you hear so much about. Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia and had to flee from the Somali Civil War which had seen the country plunge into a system of total anarchy. I personally think it would be fair to say that even many people on the Right don’t take Peter Sweden seriously, and essentially every leftist I know uses Peter and his tweets for comedic purposes. For example, there’s the time this extremely brilliant thinker tweeted that Sweden’s public transport system is communist, or his rant on the time someone told him that Swedish meatballs are actually from Turkey.. which they are. Admittedly this is relatively time-worn news, but because Conservative MP for Bromsgrove, Sajid Javid, has thrown his hat into the ring to become the leader of the Conservative Party since Theresa May’s recent resignation, it needs to be repeated. Javid has hilariously been compared to former American President, Barack Obama, by Forbes magazine, and like basically any Tory Member of Parliament, he has been embroiled in controversy throughout his career. Javid has previously made absurd statements such as labelling progressive, Corbyn-supporting, activist group, Momentum, as ‘neo-fascist’ and had to backtrack on a tweet he posted claiming that Jeremy Corbyn is linked with Holocaust denial. In comes renowned conspiracy theorist, Alex Jones and his “news” show Infowars, both of which have been banned from more platforms than I’ve had hot dinners. Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has had to endure an abundance of criticism during his two attempts to enter the Oval Office, such as the cost of his major policy proposals (Medicare For All, $15/hr minimum wage or Universal Childcare etc) and those are legitimate concerns to have and you would hope that Sanders could answer those questions. Should you be unfortunate enough to be following the likes of Dinesh D'Souza or Charlie Kirk (among others) on social media you'll notice a particular pattern in their posts: everything bad is left-wing; everything good is right-wing. D'Souza probably uses this narrative the most on the Right, as historians such as Kevin Kruse have destroyed D'Souza's "Democrats are the real racists" talking points so many times that Kruse has stated that he's actually becoming bored of dissecting D'Souza's claims. A story that recently broke was that of Carla Maloney, secretary of the Republican Party of Beaver County who labelled NFL players who famously took a knee during the national anthem as "baboons", which she posted to her personal Facebook account. At a recent Donald Trump rally in Mesa, Arizona, The Young Turks reporter Emma Vigeland interviewed Trump supporters with questions about the travelling migrant caravan that's heading to the US-Mexico border and the answers are about as bad as you would expect. With Trump supporters being as conspiratorial as they are, the answers given to Vigeland ranged from shooting the migrants to get them to return home, questioning who is the secret big money source behind the caravan to the 'White Genocide' conspiracy theory. Beginning with a Tucker Carlson segment where he complains about how many hispanics have immigrated to Hazelton, a small town in Pennsylvania which has seen it's hispanic population grow from 2% to 52% from 2002. With days to go until the September 13th Democratic Gubernatorial Primary between Andrew Cuomo and Cynthia Nixon, the Cuomo campaign has been accused of dirty, tacky politics. A recent campaign mailer was sent out to voters which smeared Nixon as being "silent on the rise of anti-Semitism". The mailer attempted to smear Nixon by suggesting that she supports Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS), a global campaign aiming to boycott Israel until they are complying with international law. One small problem here is that Cynthia Nixon doesn't support Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions. Another way in which this ridiculous campaign mailer lied about Nixon is that it suggests that she opposes government funding of yeshivas, which are private religious schools mainly attended by New York's orthodox Jewish population. A rather amusing Twitter account by the name of "The DM Reporter" which details the bigoted ramblings within both the Daily Mail newspaper and their comments section, allowed the racist nature of people who read the Mail to be laid bare. The Mail decided to discuss Nazi-era propaganda pictures attempting to show Adolf Hitler's apparent tender-hearted personality. Now, to be fair to the Daily Mail on this one particular instance, it wasn't the article which attempted to sympathise with Hitler and how he was portrayed, but their readers. The Daily Mail comments section isn't the most reasoned place as it is, but when you throw in one of history's worst villans, you should expect widespread condemnation, no matter your political leanings, Mail readers decided to insinuate that there was a media smear operation against Hitler, and he actually wasn't all that bad. A conservative freedom-loving woman from Arizona made a rather laughable claim targeted at what she sees as droves and droves of illegal immigrants finding a weak spot in the US-Mexico Border at the Naco, Arizona entry point, as this is this the closest point from her stated location. There's just a few slight  problems with her theory. Here we have the US-Mexico Border which shuts the two countries off from each other, shown by the thin blue line. The blue icon with the letter "A" is the entry point at Naco and the icon with the letter "B" is Ramage's reported location of Sierra Vista. The problem here is that it would take roughly forty-two minutes, by car, to go between these two locations. A simple search of The Sun's  Wikipedia page shows us that the Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper has been a part of more misdemeanours than I've had hot dinners, with a majority of the Wikipedia sub sections dedicated to their most prominent scandals. The Sun's most prominent scandal has to be their coverage of the Hillsborough disaster, in which 96 people lost their lives as a result of overcrowding in the stadium which led to a human stampede as fans tried to exit. In their infinite wisdom, The Sun decided to publish false allegations on their front page, titled "The Truth" and made misleading allegations, claiming that the Liverpool supporters picked the pocket of the stampede victims, attacked officers and also urinating on the officers, subsequent investigations into the disasters has revealed these allegations to be wholly unfounded and The Sun is now banned from Liverpool and Everton stadiums and training facilities. Facebook post by Far-Right Group, Britain First. You may be familiar with the Far-Right group Britain First as they have recently attracted a large amount of headlines. The media attention directed at the hate group was a result of sitting US President Donald Trump retweeting three of their videos which allegedly depicted ISIS members attempting to kill a young man, another Muslim male smashing a statue of the Virgin Mary and a young group of Muslim males attacking a disabled boy. However, the third video of the attack against the disabled boy wasn't perpetuated by a Muslim, according to the Independent. The video in question was titled "Muslim migrant beats up Dutch boy on crutches!" The Independent links to a dutch website called 'No Style' which  states that the attacker is a Dutch man , and not a Muslim migrant like hate-filled individuals such as Donald Trump and Jayda Fransen want us to believe. Pro-Trump website 'Conservative 101' had penned a particularly dreadful  article titled "Bernie Sanders Blames President Trump For White Nationalist Movement, Then He's Caught Doing...", and it is unfounded to say the very least. Hell, the writer couldn't even make the piece grammatically correct as one of the paragraph begins with the line, "despite how Bernie Sanders the mainstream media are portraying the situation", yes, that is a literal sentence in the article, told you that it's dreadful. A twitter user, which Progressive Political News is now blocked by, recently made the assumption that a vast number of white nationalists support Bernie Sanders and that he is somehow accepting of their support in order to further his political ambitions of seemingly turning America into a Soviet-style socialist state - or just giving people health care in order to live, but you know, who needs political nuance in this day and age.
