A little while back we wrote about Joe Biden's gradual decline in the polls against current President Donald Trump, ranging back from before the Democratic Primary even took place, during the primary, and now that Biden has become the Democratic nominee. Biden enjoyed leads of eighteen points in a large number of polling matchups leading up to the Democratic Primary, and his polling advantage began to slowly erode as the primary went on, with Trump slightly ahead in some polls. Losses in the Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada contests cut into Biden's lead against Trump, as did his constant gaffes on the debate stage and in interviews, as well as the fact that he is still dealing with sexual assault allegations from Tara Reade, which haven't been concluded or even reported on in months. With all the noise made about Nancy Pelosi being a resistance hero who is supposedly out maneuvering Donald Trump at every turn, it turns out that the Democratic Party leader isn't actually that well liked by Americans. According to the RCP polling averages , Joe Biden still maintains a five point polling lead over incumbent President Donald Trump. However, since this time last year, Joe Biden's polling advantage is slowly crumbling and we're still six months away from the election. Biden, before the primary even started, was seen by many within the Democratic Party to be the best bet to defeat Donald Trump and continue the Obama legacy, once again going with the same strategy that lost them the election in 2016. A recent ninety minute recording of a meeting President Donald Trump had with Lev Parnas - an American businessman who is currently under fire regarding the Trump-Ukraine situation for allegedly surveilling and making threats against the US Ambassador to Ukraine - has been leaked and one of the topics they discussed was the 2016 election and Bernie Sanders. During the conversation, which was recorded in 2018, there was a segment regarding the 2016 election and Hillary Clinton's VP pick, which we now know was Tim Kaine. Detractors of 2020 Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders often point to his online supporters and their apparent harassment of people on Twitter. You often hear the phrase " I like Bernie, I support his policies, but his supporters really put me off ." This has been a running theme since the 2016 election with constant focus on supposed 'Bernie Bros' apparently harassing anyone who dare say a bad word about him. For the majority of the time it follows a very similar pattern. Sanders is constantly criticised, sometimes fairly of course, but the majority of time you'll find it to be a prominent liberal saying something outlandish about Sanders, claiming him to be a russian plant, a sexist, racist, having policies that 'only benefit straight white people', a communist and is repeatedly compared to Trump. Following the assassination of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, Hannity, true to form, has suggested that President Trump should attack Iranian oil refineries in order to " cause major poverty for the people of Iran " The Fox News host isn't shy when it comes to using military force against anyone or anything, a firm believer in American Exceptionalism which is prevalent on the American right. John Delaney and his ability to be shamelessly and wholeheartedly beholden to private insurance companies have found something new to exploit: the two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, both of which happened at the beginning of August just hours apart and left 32 people dead. Delaney was given ample time during the past two Democratic primary debates to lay out his proposals, in which he was laughably seen as the rational moderate, when in reality he was just arguing for the status quo. Apart from arguing against any real or meaningful change, Delaney's most memorable debate moment was when Bernie Sanders rebutted his ridiculous anti-Medicare For All statements with “Well, you’re wrong!” Which drew a large cheer from the crowd. Andy Ngo, a "journalist" who always manages to be on the scene any time anti-fascist activists are supposedly attacking people or property has been caught red handed lying and spreading misinformation to fit his narrative once again and he is seen by many on the right as the one-stop shop for all your anti-Antifa needs. This past week, Ngo attended a Patriot Prayer rally in Portland, which also included groups such as "American Guard" - American Guard members have attended Klu Klux Klan cross burnings and rallies - and Antifa and other counter protesters, in the hope he would find something that he could twist into his notorious "Antifa are the real bad guys" narrative. After President Trump and his administration's provocation of Iran led to the shooting down of an unmanned drone near Iran's airspace, several politicians have shown us where they stand on this administration's efforts to force a regime change war in Iran and remove the Ayatollah's from power. Marshae Jones, alleged to have "sparked the altercation" which led to the shooting, has been charged with manslaughter while the shooter has been freed. When women took to the streets in order to protest new draconian abortion laws proposed by several US states, notable conservative pundits insisted that the new laws weren't as bad as many women had feared and that they were just doing their moral duty to protect unborn children, but it’s doubtful Marshae Jones feels the same way. If you were to believe recent polling figures in regards to the Democratic Primaries, Joe Biden is by far and away one of the most popular political figures in America, with his 2020 poll numbers giving him a 37 and 32 point lead over Bernie Sanders in the recent past. There has however been issues with some of the polls that have been undertaken and given Joe Biden his huge lead, such as the one pictured above, which shows Bernie leading Biden by 2% (27%-25%) among non-white voters, but you wouldn’t know that if you watched the MSNBC segment regarding the poll, in which Biden magically gains three percentage points in order to go ahead of Bernie in these demographics. At a recent Donald Trump rally in Mesa, Arizona, The Young Turks reporter Emma Vigeland interviewed Trump supporters with questions about the travelling migrant caravan that's heading to the US-Mexico border and the answers are about as bad as you would expect. Following the controversy surrounding President Trump's supreme court pick Brett Kavanaugh over the past few weeks with three women coming forward to claim that the judge sexually assaulted them in the 1980's, it quickly developed into a extremely hyper-partisan issue with those on the left choosing to support the women's claims and those on the right dismissing the allegations as politically motivated. Hillary Clinton supporters have a new theory as to who put Donald Trump in the White House: Hillary Clinton herself. According to the  US National Debt Clock , a website which tracks the real-time total of many governmental figures ranging from the US National Debt/Deficit, how many Americans currently use Food Stamps or the current amount of people who are currently unemployed in the US - which currently sits at 12,420,110 people or 3.7% of the population.
