Pregnant Alabama Woman Charged With Manslaughter After Being Shot

Marshae Jones, alleged to have "sparked the altercation" which led to the shooting, has been charged with manslaughter while the shooter has been freed. When women took to the streets in order to protest new draconian abortion laws proposed by several US states, notable conservative pundits insisted that the new laws weren't as bad as many women had feared and that they were just doing their moral duty to protect unborn children, but it’s doubtful Marshae Jones feels the same way. Jones was five months pregnant when she was shot in the stomach during an altercation with another woman and her fetus never survived the shooting. On Wednesday this week (26/06), Ms. Jones was charged with manslaughter in Jefferson County, Alabama after the police claimed that Jones was culpable because she initiated the conflict and " failed to remove herself out of harms way ." " The only true victim in this was the unborn baby. It was the mother of the child who init...

Hillary Clinton Supporters Are Blaming Susan Sarandon For State Abortion Bans

For some reason unbeknownst to me, Twitter likes to continuously remind me that I follow Susan Sarandon, and because of this I unfortunately have to come across tweets like the one pictured above which includes a ridiculous criticism that people like this like to use anytime President Trump does anything terrible - which is pretty often.  If you haven’t heard, women’s reproductive rights are quite literally under attack in several US states, including Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Ohio and women are being faced with jail time. HB 481 in Georgia would reportedly allow for women to be given a jail sentence of 10-30 years if she is found to be culpable of miscarrying through her own conduct (although this is extremely vague). Snopes have written an excellent  piece  about HB 481 and have given a “Unproven” rating for the claim that abortion will result in jail sentences for women. They also state that the state of Georgia currently prohibits “criminal abortion...

Christian Pastor: Abortion And Gays Caused Hurricane Florence, Not Climate Change

Rick Joyner is just another conservative fundamentalist christian among a plethora of like-minded televangelists who have made ridiculous statements about President Trump's time in office. Joyner has a history of simply being wrong, roughly two years ago he claimed to have done some math and has worked out that since earth is '6,000' years old, this coincides with the first six days of the week, which means God is coming back on the seventh day or the sabbath. Essentially claiming that God was returning soon. However, Mr. Joyner may have outdone himself in this particular instance as he claims that abortion and sin are to blame for Hurricane Florence, not climate change. Hurricane Florence was a Category 4 major hurricane with winds reaching 130 miles per hour and lasted two weeks, from the end of August to the middle of September. The hurricane is reported to have caused 55 deaths in the United States, including a three-month-old baby dying due to a tree crushing a ...

My Worthless Opinion On The Abortion Debate in America

After having a 2am Twitter argument with some people behind accounts with fake profile pictures - you know the type - on the topic of abortion rights, I noticed something incredible from these particular lovely humans on the pro-life side of the debate - they HATE facts. Oh and Science too, they hate that stuff. I personally wasn't going to use this blogs twitter page to engage with many people but something compelled me to tell them that women should be able to control their own bodies, because some people literally disagree with that statement. As I was reading an ABC Politics tweet regarding the Tomi Lahren pro-choice debacle, I happened to see a reply essentially stating that this person with the fake picture believed it's 'hard to be a conservative advocate and find killing babies acceptable' and havoc engulfed my Twitter feed moments later. As I responded with what I thought was a particularly witty comeback of, 'Also hard to advocate for small governmen...
