Several News Outlets Attribute Bernie Sanders Debate Statements To Warren

Sanders and his supporters have many criticisms of the mainstream media - I know this seeing as I'm a supporter myself - with some suggesting a general apathy or dislike towards Sanders meanwhile others paint an image of powerful news barons in a smoke-filled back room menacingly twisting their mustaches, choosing not to cover Sanders fairly and at times dismissing his candidacy all together. Few criticisms are as evident or obvious as this one, however. Three different news outlets were found to have deliberately attributed Sanders recent debate response to Elizabeth Warren, which is easily disputable when a transcript of the whole debate is easily accessible online via the Washington Post, or you could have simply watched the debate last week. The first instance of false attribution is the one pictured above in which NBC claimed that Warren was the one who slammed those on stage for their defence of a broken healthcare system, which was followed by the misattribution of th...

Fox Host: Gun Buyback Program Will Lead To Gun Owners Shooting Cops

During the third Democratic Presidential debate back in September, candidate Beto O'Rourke gave the Republicans a major gift when on the debate stage he exclaimed, "Hell yes we're going to take your AR-15's, your AK-47's". O'Rourke has also proposed a mandatory gun buyback program with the aim of getting rid of assault style weapons. Republicans were then able to use these comments to fabricate a story of the evil tyrannical government coming to take your guns away You could be fair to O'Rourke and say that he hadn't necessarily thought of the constitutional ramifications of such a policy, got caught up in the debate frenzy and wanted to use the issue of gun control to stand out from his opponents. O'Rourke hails from a state (Texas) that experienced a anti-Hispanic mass shooting at the beginning of August in which 22 people died. Fox News, of course, leapt at the opportunity to criticise O'Rourke and his comments. Fox News host Jess...

Bernie Sanders Gains Most Coveted Presidential Endorsement While In Hospital

Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib endorse Bernie Sanders for President. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are three quarters of a group of relatively new and incredibly popular Congresswomen known as "The Squad", and they dominated the news cycles during Tuesday's Democratic Primary debate when it was announced that they would all be endorsing Bernie Sanders' 2020 Presidential bid. Ayanna Pressley, the fourth member of "The Squad" has said that  she is not endorsing any Democratic candidate  just yet. The news broke when CNN anchor Erin Burnett asked Sanders a question about his recent health issues - this was after the debate moderators hadn't called on Sanders for an answer to several questions, such as gun control and the opioid crisis - to which Sanders responded "I'm healthy, I'm feeling great, but I would like to respond to that question." He then proceeded to give ...

Beto O’Rourke Thinks Swearing Will Win Him The Presidency

Many people have been questioning why Beto O'Rourke chose to run for President after narrowly losing a Texas Senate race to Ted Cruz, with his popularity within Texas seemingly not being able to translate nationwide. It's been argued from some in the progressive wing of the Democratic Party that O'Rourke's popularity within Texas was due to him running against Ted Cruz from the left - refusing to take PAC money, supporting Medicare for All and publicly supporting Colin Kaepernick taking a knee. It was also suggested that the enthusiasm for O'Rourke was merely because of Ted Cruz's low approval rating , with only 27% strongly supporting and 31% strongly disapproving of Cruz.  Morning Consult's Senator popularity rankings gave Ted Cruz a 36% disapproval rating. O'Rourke's popularity was clearly evident during his Senate run, breaking the record for the most amount of money raised in a single quarter by a US Senate candidate with $38.1m raised in...

Just How Islamophobic Is The UK Conservative Party?

Sayeeda Warsi, former Chair of the Conservative Party Should you switch on any mainstream news program or read any mainstream news articles you would be mistaken for thinking that the Labour Party was a cesspool of anti-semitism and racism, with figures such as Alan Sugar ridiculously comparing Jeremy Corbyn to former German leader, Adolf Hitler.  While any leftist criticism  of Israel and its policy regarding Palestine is spun and twisted to suggest that anytime you speak up for Palestinian rights or a two-state solution is anti-semitic, those who throw around accusations of anti-semitism and racism clearly have issues regarding racism and in this instance, Islamophobia in the UK Conservative Party. There are genuine instances of anti-semitism surrounding the Left, with George Galloway's  "no Israel flags"  tweet during last year's Champions League Final coming to mind - this is was deemed a hateful statement by losing finalists Tottenham Hotspur FC, a cl...

Here's Just Some Of The Insane Lies Being Spread About Ilhan Omar

Ilhan Omar’s mere presence as the first Somali-American and one of the first Muslim Congresswomen - along with Rashida Tlaib -  does tend to ruffle a few feathers among the more bigoted politicians and news pundits, much like those who insisted that former President Barack Obama wasn’t American and was actually a Muslim who was born in Kenya. Just as former President Barack Obama had ridiculous and debunked conspiracy theories surrounding him - so does Ilhan Omar. Omar’s journey to Congress was extremely reminiscent of that “American Dream” you hear so much about. Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia and had to flee from the Somali Civil War which had seen the country plunge into a system of total anarchy. Omar and her family fled to the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya, near the Somali border and remained there for four years before immigrating to New York in 1992 and her family secured asylum in 1995. Omar’s father and grandfather taught her about Democracy at an early age and...

John Delaney's Plan To Stop Mass Shootings: Make Mass Shootings 'Cost Prohibitive'

John Delaney and his ability to be shamelessly and wholeheartedly beholden to private insurance companies have found something new to exploit: the two mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio, both of which happened at the beginning of August just hours apart and left 32 people dead. Delaney was given ample time during the past two Democratic primary debates to lay out his proposals, in which he was laughably seen as the rational moderate, when in reality he was just arguing for the status quo. Apart from arguing against any real or meaningful change, Delaney's most memorable debate moment was when Bernie Sanders rebutted his ridiculous anti-Medicare For All statements with “Well, you’re wrong!” Which drew a large cheer from the crowd. Delaney’s big new idea to end gun violence, which you can see pictured above, is to require “liability insurance” to purchase a gun - an idea which is comical and was mocked in the replies to his tweet. To be fair to John Delaney and...
