Fox Host: Gun Buyback Program Will Lead To Gun Owners Shooting Cops

During the third Democratic Presidential debate back in September, candidate Beto O'Rourke gave the Republicans a major gift when on the debate stage he exclaimed, "Hell yes we're going to take your AR-15's, your AK-47's". O'Rourke has also proposed a mandatory gun buyback program with the aim of getting rid of assault style weapons. Republicans were then able to use these comments to fabricate a story of the evil tyrannical government coming to take your guns away

You could be fair to O'Rourke and say that he hadn't necessarily thought of the constitutional ramifications of such a policy, got caught up in the debate frenzy and wanted to use the issue of gun control to stand out from his opponents. O'Rourke hails from a state (Texas) that experienced a anti-Hispanic mass shooting at the beginning of August in which 22 people died.

Fox News, of course, leapt at the opportunity to criticise O'Rourke and his comments. Fox News host Jesse Watters slammed O'Rourke's gun control proposal and stupidly remarked that a gun buyback will result in gun owners shooting police and "cost more lives than mass shootings."

Watters made the claim while arguing with co-host Juan Williams, Williams suggested that Watters was fear mongering, "I think -- look, thats fear mongering, talking about oh you got to go door to door" to which Watters replied that this would only cause more violence and cost more lives than mass shootings would.

Now, these are the exact same Fox News hosts who downplay every police shooting, scream down the camera about how we should always listen to and respect police officers and using the mantra of "Blue Lives Matter". In fact, a quick google search shows Fox News writing several articles condemning water being thrown over police officers, which happened a few months ago in New York.

'Blue lives' evidently do not matter to Jesse Waters and Fox News though, if you're literally willing to shoot and kill officers. The irony of these comments is clearly lost on Watters and Fox News, who complain about police officers getting wet, but both themselves and gun owners in general will literally shoot the officers they supposedly support.

MSNBC Host Lawrence O'Donnell Explains How The Democratic Party Treats The Left

MSNBC's "The Last Word" host Lawrence O'Donnell describes his politics as a "practical European socialist", which essentially boils down to being a nordic-style social democrat, usually in favour of a mixed economy with a generous welfare state and has defended his positions on MSNBC news shows that typically frown upon stepping outside the neoliberal bubble. O'Donnell is no progressive hero in the context of american politics, sometimes scolding progressive politicians whenever they mildly criticize the Democratic Party, such as when Bernie Sanders tweeted about having to take on the Democratic establishment as well as Republicans, O'Donnell decided to concern troll Sanders by claiming that the Democratic establishment wouldn't pass Sanders' proposals if he wasn't nice to them. Over the course of the last few months an old video of O'Donnell explaining how to move the Democratic Party further left and how the party treats the p...

Sally Albright: I'd Prefer 4 More Years Of Trump Than President Bernie Sanders

One of the main talking points used against Bernie Sanders and his supporters is that their lack of enthusiasm and support for Hillary Clinton in 2016 directly led to Donald Trump becoming president, with Sanders supporters being labelled as privileged and sexist for not backing Clinton, and yes that includes you misogynistic Jill Stein/Green Party voters! However, our favourite anti-Bernie Democratic loyalist, Sally Albright, now insists that it isn’t pivotal that you support the Democratic nominee in order to defeat Donald Trump, should Sanders win the 2020 Democratic nomination. Albright recently claimed that “ 4 more years of Trump would be better in the long run ” as opposed to a President Bernie Sanders. This comes after the “moderate” wing of the Democratic Party have spent the past three years suggesting that apathetic Sanders supporters are the cause of every terrible Trump decision and we’d be in a utopia if us sexists would have just fell in line behind Clinton. In ...

The President Is An Anti-Vaxxer

A lot can be said about the current President of the United States, Donald Trump and his basic understanding of science and scientific consensus on dividing issues such as climate change and the supposed adverse effects of vaccinations. Most responses involve ridiculing his proposterous statements. As I was reading articles detailing the recent measles and smallpox outbreaks in North Carolina, the tweet pictured above was one of the first related searches I came across and even for someone as scientifically ignorant as Donald Trump, it was honestly shocking. One American state in particular, North Carolina, known for its lawmakers controversial stances such as the so-called  ‘Bathroom Bill’ , - which has cost the state the 2017 NBA All-Star game, billions of dollars and companies such as PayPal and CoStar Group have pulled out planned expansions from the state, losing over a thousand jobs - and now their reluctance to ensure children are vaccinated has brought back the ...
