Is Donald Trump chosen by God?

The short answer to this question is - hell no. These are two characters who could not be more different as one prefers to feed the poor while the other takes away Meals on Wheels from the elderly. Personally, I believe Donald would be closer to the Old Testament God as opposed to the New Testament God, as is evidenced by Trump wanting to kill the families of terrorists (innocents) and God killing people he deemed evil via a flood. God chose a man who wanted to do the VERY DEFINITION OF TERRORISM? God chose a man who wanted to kill innocent people? Blow me.

Donald Trump and God, a comparison only the craziest right-wing political 'thinkers' can make, whether or not you believe in God the disparities are clear as day and to compare a man who mispronounced "Second Corinthians" as "Two Corinthians" to our supposed creator, is just laughable.

Now if you are a religious person, you have the belief of God being responsible for all of mankind, thus being responsible for creating Trump, so it's there, but you have to twist yourself into a pretzel in order to make this claim even remotely logical. Which it is not.

A host of people have tried to make this assumption while still trying to act as if they have half a brain, all while being coddled by their fellow God loving people making them believe their ridiculous assertions are factual.

Mary Colbert tried to make such an assertion on "The Jim Bakker Show" claiming, 'It’s not that Donald Trump is all that perfect of a guy. We all know he’s not. And we know that he’s not necessarily perfect in every way that we would like. That’s not how God works. He works through the ones he chooses. We don’t choose them. All we have to do is recognize them and when you recognize a chosen one and you have the discernment to know that they’ve been chosen and know that that’s the will of God, then your life will be blessed. And if you come against the chosen one of God, you are bringing upon you and your children and your children’s children curses like you have never seen. It puts a holy fear in me.'

So, basically, we shouldn't even question Trump and his lies because God. There was literally no expansion on her thoughts to lend any credibility to them, not a single 'God chose Trump because Trump is for/against this topic issue, as is the Bible in chapter..'. Supposedly God works in mysterious ways and this is why he should not be questioned, mysterious how? What is God's supposed goal with putting Trump in power? Why Trump in particular? The reason why Mary Colbert could not go any further than simply scream God is because she pulled it out of her ass - bigly.

Also, why would not subscribing to Trump's political beliefs mean any harm towards my (maybe) future children and grandchildren? Who isn't to say they could be just as conservative and hypocritical as Donald Trump, might even scream "FAKE NEWS" whenever a person tries to argue their differing political opinion or knowledge of a particular issue.

Mary is not the only far-right conservative to suggest Trump received help from a higher power as Tom DeLay, the former House Majority Leader, decided to chime in with his expert take on the debate. While promoting his book - not going to mention the name, you would lose brain cells reading it, thank me later - talking to the ridiculous conspiracy theory website WorldNetDaily. Tom proceeded to espouse the notion of Trump being hand picked by God claiming, "Now that Trump is elected, I'm very excited about it because I see now what God is doing" already laughable but he continued, "First of all, He stopped the left in it's tracks and He stopped Hillary Clinton and put a man in place, that was a strong leader, which the country was begging for." Lastly, DeLay puts his idiocy on show for all to see as he claimed, "It didn't matter what his policies were, people wanted a huge change in the direction of the federal government." You can say that again Tom, Trump was getting the far-right simpleton vote. Trump said this himself at a campaign rally, "I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose voters." PolitiFact would give this a 'True' rating, as it is evident that no matter the policies - or whatever side of a policy he happens to be on when asked - or metaphorically shooting someone, the far-right would still vote Trump.

The sheer arrogance of these people is absurd, you can clearly see how weak their arguments are, as they never mention why God happened to choose Trump, just that it's their horse.

Have you ever noticed how God is always responsible for any right wing successes? God has been responsible for telling a majority of the Republican candidates to run for office, it almost seems like a little religion card which is pulled out just as support is needed from right-wing Christians in America. God has also whispered in the ear of Republicans such as: Ben Carson, John Kasich, Mike Huckabee, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum and Scott Walker. God must really favour the Republican Party. Our supposed creator must of also been on break from 2008-2016 as he completely left his 'chosen' candidates as losers on the political stage - must of been part of God's plan.

Let's see what God is in favour of;
  • Is God in favour of low taxes on the rich? No.
  • Does God want to "Stop the Left in their tracks"? No.
  • Does God want to deny any American the right to health care? No.
  • Would deregulation of entities such as the EPA be on God's list? No.
  • Would God be in favour of immigration? Yes.
As evidence I used the book Mike Huckabee likes to hold up when he shouts at gay people - The Bible. In the Bible, it is said to be kind to immigrants or "sojourners" as they are referenced, just a few examples;
  • You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt. - Exodus 22:21
  • There is neither a Jew nor a Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. - Galatians 3:28
  • Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it. - Hebrews 13:1
  • I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. - Matthew 25:35
The excuse of being the candidate of God may have worked for Donald Trump this election, but spare a thought for Rick Santorum, Rick has been using the Bible to attack anything he deems morally wrong be it poor people or homosexuals, which led to him receiving just 0.05% of the Republican Primary vote with only 16,627 votes out of 31 million.

When you cannot recite a single bible verse, or mispronounce the verse you want to feign interest in, you should lose the respect and the vote of Christians in America, but as it turns out, if you stand for the things the bible is against and people follow you due to their preconceived biases, this is exactly how you win.

MSNBC Host Lawrence O'Donnell Explains How The Democratic Party Treats The Left

MSNBC's "The Last Word" host Lawrence O'Donnell describes his politics as a "practical European socialist", which essentially boils down to being a nordic-style social democrat, usually in favour of a mixed economy with a generous welfare state and has defended his positions on MSNBC news shows that typically frown upon stepping outside the neoliberal bubble. O'Donnell is no progressive hero in the context of american politics, sometimes scolding progressive politicians whenever they mildly criticize the Democratic Party, such as when Bernie Sanders tweeted about having to take on the Democratic establishment as well as Republicans, O'Donnell decided to concern troll Sanders by claiming that the Democratic establishment wouldn't pass Sanders' proposals if he wasn't nice to them. Over the course of the last few months an old video of O'Donnell explaining how to move the Democratic Party further left and how the party treats the p

MSNBC News Caught Faking Poll Numbers To Elevate Biden Above Bernie Sanders

If you were to believe recent polling figures in regards to the Democratic Primaries, Joe Biden is by far and away one of the most popular political figures in America, with his 2020 poll numbers giving him a 37 and 32 point lead over Bernie Sanders in the recent past. There has however been issues with some of the polls that have been undertaken and given Joe Biden his huge lead, such as the one pictured above, which shows Bernie leading Biden by 2% (27%-25%) among non-white voters, but you wouldn’t know that if you watched the MSNBC segment regarding the poll, in which Biden magically gains three percentage points in order to go ahead of Bernie in these demographics. Here’s another poll (CNN) that was used in order to show Sanders “plummeting support” and as you can see the poll includes zero respondents of anyone under the age of fifty. The problem being that Sanders base of support is largely made up of younger voters, so to not include any in a poll on Sanders is simply di

Why The Labour Party Lost The UK Election

Whichever way you approach the recent UK election, it would be fair to say that the Labour Party experienced a drubbing, resulting in a loss of 60 seats and handing the Conservative Party a large parliamentary majority. There has however been a fierce debate surrounding the reasons for Labour’s defeat, reasons ranging from Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn himself or supposedly racist voters. This debate has deeply spilt the two main factions of the Labour Party, between moderates and progressives. Blairites vs Corbynistas if you will. Moderates place the blame solely at the feet of Jeremy Corbyn, his supposed anti-semitism and poor electability. Progressives see this defeat as a result of a Brexit backlash with many Leave voters leaving the Labour Party while the Conservative Party had one core message: “Get Brexit Done” which seemingly resonated. It is fair to suggest that Corbyn’s popularity isn’t exactly soaring, with the mere mention of his name bringing about a whole range of different
