Jared Huffman is a politician currently serving California's 2nd district in the House of Representatives since 2013 and was previously in the California State Assembly from 2006-2012 as well as being a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus within the Democratic Party. Huffman recently made headlines as he spoke out on his religious beliefs, or a lack thereof in this particular case. The Missouri-born lawmaker is one of only a handful to actively go against 70.6 percent of the American population who describe themselves as Christian, saying "I think that there is too much religion within politics". Several women made headlines in recent days as they accused far-right, suspended Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama, Roy Moore, of engaging in unwanted sexual activities with them when they were aged 14 and upwards, when Moore was aged 32-34. As Moore hopes to become a Senator from Alabama, these allegations are seen to have come at, what some Republicans and their supporters see, is a rather opportune time as an attempt to prevent Moore from reaching the Senate. Centrist Twitter is a terrifying place, among their tweets bashing anyone who dare take a step towards the left or comparing Hillary Clinton to God - yes, literally - their political ignorance often slips through the cracks.
