Hillary Supporter: I Would Rather Lose Elections Than Move The Democrats To The Left!

Centrist Twitter is a terrifying place, among their tweets bashing anyone who dare take a step towards the left or comparing Hillary Clinton to God - yes, literally - their political ignorance often slips through the cracks. A '#StillWithHer' Twitter account by the name of Jay Robertson, most likely a fake account, recently let his ignorance show when he admitted that rather than allowing the Democratic Party to embrace Bernie Sanders style progressivism, Jay would be more willing to live under Republican rule until at least 2024, the same exact political party and ideology he claims to be against.

Let's dissect Mr. Robertson's "surrendering the party" claim, because if he is this passionate about the Democratic Party, Democratic approval ratings must be skyrocketing, right? Well, no. The Democratic Party's approval rating has hit 37%, a 25 year low, a poll recently conducted by the Social Science Research Solutions (SSRS) has found. SSRS' poll, which records the favorability and unfavorability of the Democratic Party roughly four to five times each year also found that the Democrats unfavorability rating has hit 54%, the highest since the poll began in 1992.

The Democratic Party is the least popular it has been in at least 25 years, so why would anyone want to defend a party that is in freefall? This is the very same group of people that were recently defeated by Donald Trump, the least popular president-elect in four decades with his approval rating at 40% at the time he was named as the 45th President, the very same Donald Trump who admitted to paying hardly any federal taxes and is quoted as saying "we have to take out their families", referring to the innocent family members of suspected terrorists. Innocent people. The Democrats lost to this complete and utter moron. Change is most definitely needed.

The people who Mr. Robertson likes to attack are the very same people who the Democrats need to lure back to the party in order to begin winning elections again, so the progressive base in America is not one to be ignored. Groups such as Brand New Congress, Justice Democrats, Our Revolution National Nurses United, the Green Party and Democratic Socialists of America are experiencing a surging number of members and have won elections as recently as this week. Lee Carter of Democratic Socialists of America won his race in Virginia's 50th District House of Delegates against the sitting Republican Majority Whip, Jackson Miller. This brings the number of elected DSA members up to 35 across the country, not bad for a supposed 'fringe, radical leftist' organisation.

Is this a case of using a single example to tarnish a whole group? Perhaps, but it is evident that these thoughts are deeply embedded in the supporters of a Democratic Party that is in turmoil. The constant punching of the Left will only cause the Democratic Party's approval rating to continue to decline, putting together Bernie Sanders' popularity, the Democrats decreasing popularity and left-wing groups that are now on the rise, the answer is surely obvious, right? Well, not if Jay Robertson has his way. I'm sure you all look forward to at least 8 years of Donald Trump's rule, enjoy.

MSNBC Host Lawrence O'Donnell Explains How The Democratic Party Treats The Left

MSNBC's "The Last Word" host Lawrence O'Donnell describes his politics as a "practical European socialist", which essentially boils down to being a nordic-style social democrat, usually in favour of a mixed economy with a generous welfare state and has defended his positions on MSNBC news shows that typically frown upon stepping outside the neoliberal bubble. O'Donnell is no progressive hero in the context of american politics, sometimes scolding progressive politicians whenever they mildly criticize the Democratic Party, such as when Bernie Sanders tweeted about having to take on the Democratic establishment as well as Republicans, O'Donnell decided to concern troll Sanders by claiming that the Democratic establishment wouldn't pass Sanders' proposals if he wasn't nice to them. Over the course of the last few months an old video of O'Donnell explaining how to move the Democratic Party further left and how the party treats the p

MSNBC News Caught Faking Poll Numbers To Elevate Biden Above Bernie Sanders

If you were to believe recent polling figures in regards to the Democratic Primaries, Joe Biden is by far and away one of the most popular political figures in America, with his 2020 poll numbers giving him a 37 and 32 point lead over Bernie Sanders in the recent past. There has however been issues with some of the polls that have been undertaken and given Joe Biden his huge lead, such as the one pictured above, which shows Bernie leading Biden by 2% (27%-25%) among non-white voters, but you wouldn’t know that if you watched the MSNBC segment regarding the poll, in which Biden magically gains three percentage points in order to go ahead of Bernie in these demographics. Here’s another poll (CNN) that was used in order to show Sanders “plummeting support” and as you can see the poll includes zero respondents of anyone under the age of fifty. The problem being that Sanders base of support is largely made up of younger voters, so to not include any in a poll on Sanders is simply di

Why The Labour Party Lost The UK Election

Whichever way you approach the recent UK election, it would be fair to say that the Labour Party experienced a drubbing, resulting in a loss of 60 seats and handing the Conservative Party a large parliamentary majority. There has however been a fierce debate surrounding the reasons for Labour’s defeat, reasons ranging from Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn himself or supposedly racist voters. This debate has deeply spilt the two main factions of the Labour Party, between moderates and progressives. Blairites vs Corbynistas if you will. Moderates place the blame solely at the feet of Jeremy Corbyn, his supposed anti-semitism and poor electability. Progressives see this defeat as a result of a Brexit backlash with many Leave voters leaving the Labour Party while the Conservative Party had one core message: “Get Brexit Done” which seemingly resonated. It is fair to suggest that Corbyn’s popularity isn’t exactly soaring, with the mere mention of his name bringing about a whole range of different
