Democrat SuperFan: "There are some White Nationalist Bernie Sanders supporters"

A twitter user, which Progressive Political News is now blocked by, recently made the assumption that a vast number of white nationalists support Bernie Sanders and that he is somehow accepting of their support in order to further his political ambitions of seemingly turning America into a Soviet-style socialist state - or just giving people health care in order to live, but you know, who needs political nuance in this day and age.

Political Twitter is made up of several factions that spend most of each and every day screaming at each other about why they're right, most of the time without a single policy mentioned. The factions pretty much range from the "we even hate Bernie Sanders" Left-Wing, then to the "Democrats are the only hope we have! #Resistance" and you can even end up at the Alt-Right/White Nationalist part of Twitter if you're brave enough. There are also, of course, the Bernie Sanders supporters, Republicans and Libertarians sprinkled across the spectrum.

For this article, we're focusing on the anti-Bernie #StillWithHer crowd, who have made an extremely absurd claim. This delightful group of people cannot argue on policy, hence the constant "Bernie is a Russian Puppet" or claims such as the ones mentioned above, which are completely unfounded and are not based within reality.

As we here at Progressive Political News are evidence-based, we of course have to bring up the fact that Congressman Steve Scalise's shooter was a Sanders fan. Scalise was shot in June 2017 while practicing with fellow Republican's for the upcoming yearly Congressional Baseball Game against the Democrats, a reprehensible act that goes against everything Sanders himself and his supporters truly stand for. To put it simply, the shooter, James Hodgkinson, is a left-wing terrorist. Hodgkinson used violence for a political gain as he wanted to "terminate the Republican Party", so therefore, this makes him a terrorist.

As for the "White Nationalist Sanders supporters" trope, it is simply unfounded. The only thing the people that are making these claims could potentially point to is the fact that Alt-Right personalities such as Richard Spencer is hoping to court Bernie Sanders, as they aim to twist their pro-white message into an anti-capitalist one. Spencer said, "I support National Health Care" before adding, "becoming Alt-Right means... we have duties to our fellow [white] people, and the trillions spent in insane wars, I would much rather spend that on something that is immediately useful to whites.

To the twisted mind which may try to spin this story as a "Sanders and White Nationalists are in cahoots" style argument against progressives, this may think it affirms their stance. Although what Spencer previously mentioned may sound a tad Sanders-like, apart from when you take off the partisan goggles and really delve into the topic.

As the Raw Story piece mentions, this is exactly the same as previous fascist movements throughout history have done, who pretend to offer what are seen as socialist ideals in order to gain the support of middle-class workers. However, this is where the story really gets interesting.

The interesting part is actually a single quote from alt-right, Identity Evropa spokesman Eli Mosley as he laughably said, "You want to know why there's so much PTSD, drug abuse, suicide among veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars? Because they come back and they don't know why. 'Why were we there and why did my friends die?' The answer is, no more of these wars - Jewish wars!"

Now, do me a little favour, go onto Bernie Sanders' Wikipedia page and scroll down to the section titled "religion and heritage", please. Bernie Sanders is Jewish. Sanders even attended Yeshiva during his Sunday schooling at a Hebrew school, has had a bar mitzvah during his younger days, has even previously been associated with Youth Zionist movements also in his younger days, found himself in hot water with the ACLU when Sanders, as Mayor of Burlington, allowed a Chabad public menorah to be placed at City Hall, which is public land. Sanders also performed the Jewish religious ritual of blessing Hanukkah candles. Bernie's brother Larry described the pair as being "very pleased to be Jews, but didn't have a strong belief in God." This has led to Bernie and Larry being described by Jimmy Kimmel as "culturally Jewish."

What's the point, you may ask. Our point is this: Why on earth would Bernie Sanders join forces with the white nationalist movement, who blame the wars of George Bush and Dick Cheney as "Jewish wars", when the Sanders family has Jewish roots, it doesn't make the tiniest bit of sense. As for Sanders somehow being accepting of any white nationalist support, go back and look at his statements and even Tweets around the time of the Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally, and you will quickly see how farcical this assumption is.

MSNBC Host Lawrence O'Donnell Explains How The Democratic Party Treats The Left

MSNBC's "The Last Word" host Lawrence O'Donnell describes his politics as a "practical European socialist", which essentially boils down to being a nordic-style social democrat, usually in favour of a mixed economy with a generous welfare state and has defended his positions on MSNBC news shows that typically frown upon stepping outside the neoliberal bubble. O'Donnell is no progressive hero in the context of american politics, sometimes scolding progressive politicians whenever they mildly criticize the Democratic Party, such as when Bernie Sanders tweeted about having to take on the Democratic establishment as well as Republicans, O'Donnell decided to concern troll Sanders by claiming that the Democratic establishment wouldn't pass Sanders' proposals if he wasn't nice to them. Over the course of the last few months an old video of O'Donnell explaining how to move the Democratic Party further left and how the party treats the p

MSNBC News Caught Faking Poll Numbers To Elevate Biden Above Bernie Sanders

If you were to believe recent polling figures in regards to the Democratic Primaries, Joe Biden is by far and away one of the most popular political figures in America, with his 2020 poll numbers giving him a 37 and 32 point lead over Bernie Sanders in the recent past. There has however been issues with some of the polls that have been undertaken and given Joe Biden his huge lead, such as the one pictured above, which shows Bernie leading Biden by 2% (27%-25%) among non-white voters, but you wouldn’t know that if you watched the MSNBC segment regarding the poll, in which Biden magically gains three percentage points in order to go ahead of Bernie in these demographics. Here’s another poll (CNN) that was used in order to show Sanders “plummeting support” and as you can see the poll includes zero respondents of anyone under the age of fifty. The problem being that Sanders base of support is largely made up of younger voters, so to not include any in a poll on Sanders is simply di

Sally Albright: I'd Prefer 4 More Years Of Trump Than President Bernie Sanders

One of the main talking points used against Bernie Sanders and his supporters is that their lack of enthusiasm and support for Hillary Clinton in 2016 directly led to Donald Trump becoming president, with Sanders supporters being labelled as privileged and sexist for not backing Clinton, and yes that includes you misogynistic Jill Stein/Green Party voters! However, our favourite anti-Bernie Democratic loyalist, Sally Albright, now insists that it isn’t pivotal that you support the Democratic nominee in order to defeat Donald Trump, should Sanders win the 2020 Democratic nomination. Albright recently claimed that “ 4 more years of Trump would be better in the long run ” as opposed to a President Bernie Sanders. This comes after the “moderate” wing of the Democratic Party have spent the past three years suggesting that apathetic Sanders supporters are the cause of every terrible Trump decision and we’d be in a utopia if us sexists would have just fell in line behind Clinton.
