Should you decide to torture yourself and delve into political social media, you will be met with two warring liberal factions - Loyal Democrats and Progressives. Much of the debate between the two factions surrounds Bernie Sanders, with 8% of registered Democrats claiming to actively dislike the Vermont Senator. This 8% are extremely vocal on social media and you are able to find them sharing their disagreement with Bernie Sanders in replies to anything he posts, even if his post isn't anything that these people disagree with, it all apparently goes back to how evil Bernie Sanders is.
With the current sexual assault allegations surrounding prominent American political figures such as Al Franken, Donald Trump, John Conyers and Roy Moore, every single allegation has to be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly as powerful men shouldn't be able to get away ruining a woman's life in order to assert their self-perceived dominance.
The current frenzy of allegations has, unfortunately, led to a small group of people aiming to take advantage of the situation and make fraudulent accusations against politicians they happen to dislike. A Twitter user by the name of '@gabyfane' decided to take aim at Sanders, asking fellow Democrats to join her and accuse Sanders of touching them inappropriately while taking pictures in an attempt to force the longest serving Independent member of Congress in American history out of his post, out of nothing but resentment for someone who they've never even met before, Sanders just happens to be left-wing and dared to run against Queen Hillary.
A little time passed after Gaby posted the tweet and it began to go viral among the progressive community and Sanders supporters as even notable political commentators such as Kyle Kulinski of Secular Talk choosing to devote a segment of his show to cover this topic.
All of this negative attention forced Gaby to protect her Tweets and change her Twitter handle to @BeenDoxxed, as well as claiming to have been 'doxed' and claiming that she will report the person who doxed her to the "atthorities" - yes, that is meant to say authorities. The irony here being the fact that she sees nothing wrong with making false allegations against a sitting Senator but all the backlash she has received is apparently outrageous and she's the one being persecuted, you really could not make this stuff up.

Even from the picture above you can quite clearly see that this is a pro-Hillary account, and as such within today's political climate, if you're pro-Hillary then there's a big chance that the person is also anti-Bernie and unironically Retweets the likes of Peter Daou and Sally Albright. Idiots like this can be found by the use of the #StillWithHer hashtag or the use of a donut emoji in their names as a childish insult against progressive leader and Bernie supporter, Nina Turner.
This isn't to insinuate that this is something that Hillary Clinton or the Democrats condone because they obviously wouldn't find this acceptable no matter which politicians are involved, but it has to be said that anger dating back to the 2016 Democratic Primary and the subsequent Trump victory that people in these circles see as down to people like Bernie Sanders, Nina Turner, Tulsi Gabbard, Jill Stein and their supporters as not bowing down to the Democrats and voting for them simply because they weren't Donald Trump, is a major factor.
While all sexual assault allegations must be taken seriously and investigated, using such a harmful topic to engage in a politically motivated attack must also be investigated and action must be taken seriously as before the tweet actually went viral there were several people replying to the original tweet that were seemingly in favour of the idea, Pamela Harrison, who is pictured above asking for the number in order to make false allegations, is just one of what was several more.
The sheer irony of this situation is that these are the exact same people who are finding each and every excuse to defend Al Franken from his recent sexual assault allegations, simply because Franken is a Democrat. If Franken subscribed to any other political party, this spiteful group of people would be calling for him to resign and demanding an investigation into his actions, but he has a (D) next to his name so that's all they happen to see as they then engage in pathetic partisan arguments in defense of Franken.
