Here we have the US-Mexico Border which shuts the two countries off from each other, shown by the thin blue line. The blue icon with the letter "A" is the entry point at Naco and the icon with the letter "B" is Ramage's reported location of Sierra Vista. The problem here is that it would take roughly forty-two minutes, by car, to go between these two locations. Therefore, unless Leslie is driving to the border each day and watching handfuls of Mexican immigrants cross into America, she couldn't possibly see them, so she's basically a massive liar.
Furthermore, if illegal immigration is an issue she cares deeply about and wants to try and stamp out, then surely she's better off reporting each immigrant that passes to the Border Patrol, who must be conveniently located at another part of the border - which she lives too far away from to see - when said immigrants are entering the United States. Perhaps those sneaky immigrants just bide their time until the Border Patrol has passed, which shows that the immigrants are extremely cunning and the United States Border Patrol to be utterly godawful at their job. Leslie must be on the phone to the Border Patrol nonstop to inform them about all of the immigrants they're missing.

Another problem with her claim is the sheer amount of dollars being spent on the Border Patrol and sharp increase in their staff members over the last fifteen years, and this is before Donald Trump was elected as he seeks an even higher increase in these numbers. Despite the vast amount of money being spent on border security, the amount of Border Patrol apprehensions are at their lowest point in the aforementioned fifteen years. What exactly are the Border Patrol doing with all this extra money if they're having to capture less and less immigrants?
Yearning for the numbers of illegal immigrants entering the United States to be lowered is completely understandable and measures should be put in place, but simply spouting falsehoods because of your own inner prejudice against immigrants isn't the correct way to go. Never stopped a Conservative from taking this approach before, however.
