Should you be unfortunate enough to be following the likes of Dinesh D'Souza or Charlie Kirk (among others) on social media you'll notice a particular pattern in their posts: everything bad is left-wing; everything good is right-wing. D'Souza probably uses this narrative the most on the Right, as historians such as Kevin Kruse have destroyed D'Souza's "Democrats are the real racists" talking points so many times that Kruse has stated that he's actually becoming bored of dissecting D'Souza's claims.
A story that recently broke was that of Carla Maloney, secretary of the Republican Party of Beaver County who labelled NFL players who famously took a knee during the national anthem as "baboons", which she posted to her personal Facebook account.
According to a report from the Beaver County Times, these comments were posted under the name "Carla Belich Fueller" and they're as bad as you think they are.
The post is as follows: "Tired of these overpaid ignorant blacks telling me what I should believe in. I will tell you what I believe in and that is our flag, the National Anthem and America, period, end of story. You don't like it here go to Africa see how you like it there. We are all Americans, not African American not Hispanic American. WE ARE ALL AMERICAN.
Maloney apparently sees no irony in saying "we're all American" and "go to Africa" in the same sentence, but I digress. Nevertheless she continued: "Steelers are now just as bad as the rest of the overpaid baboons, you respect your flag, country and our national anthem. How many men and women have lost limbs or died to protect this country and you baboons want respect".
There's more to this post but honestly her disgusting bigotry and racism has already been laid bare for all to see. Maloney's Facebook account has now been deleted and see has been denounced by the Republican Committee for Beaver County chairman Chip Kohser, but he resigned shortly after this story broke.
