Andy Ngo, a "journalist" who always manages to be on the scene any time anti-fascist activists are supposedly attacking people or property has been caught red handed lying and spreading misinformation to fit his narrative once again and he is seen by many on the right as the one-stop shop for all your anti-Antifa needs.
This past week, Ngo attended a Patriot Prayer rally in Portland, which also included groups such as "American Guard" - American Guard members have attended Klu Klux Klan cross burnings and rallies - and Antifa and other counter protesters, in the hope he would find something that he could twist into his notorious "Antifa are the real bad guys" narrative. And he did. Guardian reporting on the topic goes into detail on the bus you can see pictured above - which quite clearly belongs to American Guard given the placard that has been placed in window.
Pictured here you can see that the members American Guard are wearing the same shirts and "Make America Great Again" hats that are also present in the picture above, clearly showing that this was the group who brought the hammer to the Portland Rally. The hammer becomes a really important factor in the story after seeing the way Andy Ngo reports on the situation.
Twitter user 'Respectable Lawyer' dedicated a whole thread of tweets to Ngo's false reporting on the rally and Antifa in general in which it is extremely evident how Andy manipulates the events of the rally and works backwards from his conclusion of "Antifa are the bad guys".
Take this tweet from Andy for example, in which he explicitly states that Antifa instigated an attack on Patriot Prayer, American Guard and other rally attendees, and used a hammer in order to attack the man in the picture, which seems to conflict with the first picture in which we can clearly see that the people on the black bus were wielding the hammer, attacking Antifa and other counter protestors.
Laughably, Ngo tweeted at Respectable Lawyer, quoting a tweet from someone who was at the rally and used this as evidence of his claims of Antifa attacks, but like all of his other reporting - it was wrong.
Fun activity time: Have a look at this tweet from Elijah and see if you can spot the contradiction with Andy's previous statements:
