Washington Post Tells Poor People That They Aren’t Allowed Vacations

According to the Washington Post and their Personal Finance columnist, Michelle Singletary, only the well-to-do folks amongst us are allowed a vacation and seemingly any fragment of enjoyment. Michelle uses her introductory sentence to show us that she knows how to form an argument and get people on her side: by patronising them. Singletary begins, “Nothing makes me crazier than when people deep in debt try to persuade me that they are being financially responsible because they ‘saved up’ for their vacation”. The pretentious Washington Post columnist has since stated on social media that her intention was to let cash-strapped families know that they don’t “deserve” anything, vacation included. The debate continued on Singletary’s Twitter page, as she posted a follow up tweet stating that it was simply that people don't deserve  anything, as well as attempting to tell them ways in which their money could be put to better use.. but then you read the rest of her dog turd slapp...

Christian Pastor: Abortion And Gays Caused Hurricane Florence, Not Climate Change

Rick Joyner is just another conservative fundamentalist christian among a plethora of like-minded televangelists who have made ridiculous statements about President Trump's time in office. Joyner has a history of simply being wrong, roughly two years ago he claimed to have done some math and has worked out that since earth is '6,000' years old, this coincides with the first six days of the week, which means God is coming back on the seventh day or the sabbath. Essentially claiming that God was returning soon. However, Mr. Joyner may have outdone himself in this particular instance as he claims that abortion and sin are to blame for Hurricane Florence, not climate change. Hurricane Florence was a Category 4 major hurricane with winds reaching 130 miles per hour and lasted two weeks, from the end of August to the middle of September. The hurricane is reported to have caused 55 deaths in the United States, including a three-month-old baby dying due to a tree crushing a ...

Conservative Claims That ISIS And Nazi's Are Socialists

Jack Posobiec's, who's married, profile on dating site Bumble. Jack Posobiec is a conservative film director, aspiring writer, constant reader and all round idiot who is never far from controversy. A quick trip over to Jack's Wikipedia page allows us to see all of his ridiculous claims and stunts such as the 'Pizzagate' conspiracy theory, falsely claiming that Bernie Sanders had told supporters to commit violence following the Steve Scalise shooting and has repeatedly made references to the White Genocide conspiracy theory. And now for Jack's most ridiculous assertion: Terrorist organisation ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant), along with Nazi's and Palestinian organisation Hamas, are all socialist. Quite how Jack came to the conclusion that the entire practice of slavery is somehow tied to socialism is honestly baffling. In actuality, the economic system that slavery was largely replaced by, sharecropping, is much closer to socialism as ...

Seattle Café Shows How Paying Their Workers Should Be Done

An establishment by the name of Ada's Technical Books and Cafe have garnered plaudits for sufficiently paying their workers as wages start at $16.50 an hour plus various benefits, meaning that they aren't reliant on the generosity of their customers - some of which may lack the funds to adequately tip the staff members in the first place. Many groups such as Fight For 15 and Democratic Socialists of America have been instrumental in seeking that workers in America are paid a living wage in order to improve their quality of life. There are many reasons why workers, no matter their place of employment or job title, should be paid a living wage such as allowing them to live a more substantial and humane life, giving them greater economic mobility and financial freedom. There are several rebuttals to this idea, mainly from either conservatives or libertarians. The common arguments are that if you raise wages too high, the businesses will have to inflate their prices in order ...

Republican Calls NFL Players Who Kneel For National Anthem 'Baboons'

Should you be unfortunate enough to be following the likes of Dinesh D'Souza or Charlie Kirk (among others) on social media you'll notice a particular pattern in their posts: everything bad is left-wing; everything good is right-wing. D'Souza probably uses this narrative the most on the Right, as historians such as Kevin Kruse have destroyed D'Souza's "Democrats are the real racists" talking points so many times that Kruse has stated that he's actually becoming bored of dissecting D'Souza's claims. A story that recently broke was that of Carla Maloney, secretary of the Republican Party of Beaver County who labelled NFL players who famously took a knee during the national anthem as "baboons", which she posted to her personal Facebook account. According to a report from the Beaver County Times, these comments were posted under the name "Carla Belich Fueller" and they're as bad as you think they are. The post...

Trump Supporter On Border Immigration: 'Just Start Shooting'

At a recent Donald Trump rally in Mesa, Arizona, The Young Turks reporter Emma Vigeland interviewed Trump supporters with questions about the travelling migrant caravan that's heading to the US-Mexico border and the answers are about as bad as you would expect. With Trump supporters being as conspiratorial as they are, the answers given to Vigeland ranged from shooting the migrants to get them to return home, questioning who is the secret big money source behind the caravan to the 'White Genocide' conspiracy theory. Beginning with a Tucker Carlson segment where he complains about how many hispanics have immigrated to Hazelton, a small town in Pennsylvania which has seen it's hispanic population grow from 2% to 52% from 2002. The Trump supporters were then asked for their view on Carlson's Fox News statements. A male Trump supporter, pictured above, told Vigeland that law enforcement should "just start shooting". He then added: "If they ...

Two Hillary Supporters Challenge Bernie Sanders For Senate Seat, Get 1.2% Of The Vote

During the November midterm elections Bernie Sanders' Vermont Senate seat was up for grabs and he had to fend off more challengers than usual this time around as two extremely anti-Bernie Hillary Clinton supporters wanted to put a "REAL Democrat" in the Senate but instead they failed miserably. The first of the candidates is Jon Svitavsky , an activist for the homeless population of Vermont. While this may make Jon a somewhat attractive candidate, further research shows some rather troubling statements from Svitavsky. The Democrat has labelled notable black politicians Ben Carson and Condoleeza Rice as "Oreo's" - meaning black on the outside and white on the inside. Perhaps more troubling is the fact that he states that Rice should be "hung from the neck until she dies". The second candidate challenging Sanders is Nigerian-American Folasade Adeluola , who claims to be a 'Clintonian Democrat who wants to retire Bernie Sanders'. A q...
